If you've considered a forum, but find that most comic forums are graveyards, consider an off-site forum at Frumph.
The advantages are it's completely connected to your comic account, which you control, there are other comic forums there to draw traffic, and the Frumph general forum has a variety of worthy threads. Because Frumph is pretty new, you can get in now, try it out, and only mention it on your home site if you decide to keep it.
The interface is smooth, and Phil Hofer, the owner, is very present if you need anything, unlike many sites where the owners hide.
